Communication Barrier
by: Ariana Strong
I needed to tell someone the truth before it was too late, but I couldn't. I was just a chameleon with no ways of communication. All I could do was explore, climb, and change my skin.
What color would fear be? Red? Black?
I slowly changed. Nothing. I climbed to the top of my home and waved my zygodactylous feet. Still nothing. I watched in all perspectives as the rosy teacup was guided towards her lips.
No no no! I need to think of something. Yellow? A caution?
The cup grazed her lips. This was taking too long...
I fell.
